Amla and Ayurveda

Amla is also known as Indian Gooseberry and it is used in Ayurveda as a fruit, a tonic, an herb and a paste.  Amla is one of the best natural sources of Vitamin C, it has 30 times the amount found in oranges.  Here are some of the uses and benefits of Amla:
-strengthens teeth, hair and nails.
-helps to regulate blood sugar.
-an anti-inflammatory, especially helpful in hemorrhoids, gastritis and colitis.
-treats eye problems, cataracts, nearsightedness.
-prevents premature gray hair, prevents dandruff.
-boosts immunity.
